• learn Danish
• save money
• find a job
• sort out passports and such
• find a place to live

it’s just that simple!

In addition, I’d also like to:

• learn enough about Danish history and culture so I don’t make an ass of myself
• learn enough about Danish current affairs so I can feel like an asset to my community
• learn to cook with ingredients I might find in any local grocery store
• find some pals so we don’t all die of loneliness in the happiest place on earth

surely that can all be accomplished in three years, right?

er, Denmark.

I have my reasons. They’re long and boring. but that’s not why I started this blog, to make a list of all my long and boring reasons.  I suppose they’ll ooze out in time.  I’m starting this blog as a way of keeping myself focused and organized as I attempt to actually accomplish this.

Because I actually could accomplish this, I think, if I try.

Look, it’s not like I hate America. I don’t. I mean, America is a great place, right?

It just might not be the right place for me, personally, and my family.

So why not learn Danish, save some money, and just go?

Well, but, I’m not actually the kind of person who accomplishes much of anything, or does stuff.  As a result, I’m 42 years old with no college degree, no money, no career, no real estate, no car…but I do have a loving family, a husband and son who deserve more out of life than I can give them – more than we can reasonably achieve here in the US, at any rate.

So, what if I was the kind of person who accomplished stuff? who got organized, got committed, followed a plan? what would happen?

Let’s find out.
